Owen Road Safety Concerns
We are aware of the concerns of residents and how busy the road becomes during the school's drop-off and pick-up times – we want to do something about it.
As a school, we encourage parents and carers to walk, bike or scoot to school or to park further away and walk the rest (Park and Stride).
Last year we ran a poster competition to encourage the school community to walk or park and stride – winning posters have been put on our fence.
We know more needs to be done and we need your help.
Voluntary One-Way System
- Fully voluntary – we cannot enforce it. This should ease congestion, leading to a safer area for all.
- During school drop-off and pick-up (8:00am – 9:00am and 2:30pm – 4:00pm)
- Entry via Ayles Road
- Exit via Bryant Road or Hughenden Gardens
We aim to have our voluntary one-way system in place for our September 2025 term start.
